Lipetsk Ornithological Bulletin

The third issue of the Lipetsk Ornithological Bulletin, a collection of scientific articles and notes about the birds of the region, was prepared by ornithologists – professionals and amateurs from the Lipetsk branch of the Russian Bird Conservation Union. The materials that compiled this collection are the result of their versatile work on the study of the birds of the region, including especially rare and vulnerable species, and areas that are important for their habitat and conservation.

The publication of this issue of the Bulletin took place thanks to the help of Evgeny Borisovich Mazurin, General Director of JSC “Lipetskremstroy”, who took upon himself the solution of the main financial issues.

The collection contains materials from research on the avifauna of the Lipetsk region. Particular attention is paid to rare and vulnerable bird species and valuable ornithological areas of the region.

It is intended for ornithologists, specialists in the field of nature management and environmental protection, biology and ecology, teachers and students of biological specialties, teachers and schoolchildren, bird lovers and ecological tourism, naturalists and local historians.
