We invite you to take part in the VII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Readings in memory of N.M. Przhevalsky”, dedicated to the organization of monitoring in specially protected natural areas (SPNA). The conference will be held in Smolensk from December 1 to 3 on the basis of Smolensk State University and the Smolenskoye Poozerye National Park.
Representatives of state institutions that manage protected areas of federal and regional significance, scientific, educational and environmental organizations, and government authorities are invited to participate in the conference.
The purpose of the conference is to develop the ideas of N.M. Przhevalsky, in the organization of environmental monitoring in protected areas and storage and processing of data arrays, the development of international, interregional and interdepartmental cooperation in the field of collecting and processing information on the state of protected areas, forecasting and making management decisions based on the analysis of long-term data series.

Full-time and remote forms of participation in the conference are provided:
Conference language: Russian and English.
Conference materials will be published in a special book of proceedings (with ISBN assignment) in the form of papers or theses. The collection will be handed over to full-time participants upon registration and sent to part-time participants, included in the RSCI, posted in the Scientific Electronic Library www.eLibrary.ru.
The paper or thesis should represent the completed work or its stage, written in a language accessible to a wide range of readers, using accepted terminology. The manuscript must be carefully proofread (works are published in the author's edition). The Organizing Committee reserves the right to reject materials that do not correspond to the subject of the conference and the stated requirements.

A second information letter will be sent to registered participants.
Papers and theses with a volume of at least 2 and no more than 10 A4 pages, including tables, figures and a list of references in Russian or English, are accepted for publication.
The file with the text of the publication should have the name: “Readings in memory of Przhevalsky_surname and initials of the first author”, for example: “Readings in memory of Przhevalsky_Ivanov-A-A”.
The text of the publication should contain:
References to the literature in the text should be given in order of occurrence, in square brackets. Their numbering in the list of references should correspond to the number in the text.
Tables, if possible, should not be cumbersome, each table should have a serial number and title, provided in black and white. Photocopies and scanned copies are not allowed.
Figures must have captions, designations and a serial number. In addition to being placed in the text of the publication, they must be provided in separate files of the jpg, bmp, tiff format (mandatory!), mode - gray gradient or bitmap, with a resolution of at least 300 pixels / inch. Files with drawings have the name: “Readings in memory of Przhevalsky_surname and initials of the first author_figure-##”, for example: “Readings in memory of Przhevalsky_Ivanov-A-A_ figure-18”.
References: according to GOST 7.80, GOST R 7.0.100.
The text of the publication is provided in Microsoft Word format. Text requirements: Times New Roman book font, size -12 pt., 1.5 intervals, margins: top and right - 2 cm each; bottom and left - 2.5 cm each, indent of the first line of the paragraph - 1.25, without hyphens, justified alignment, special characters (degrees, umlauts, hieroglyphs, etc.) are made out through the insertion of characters. The length of the formulas used in the work is limited - 80 mm.
The file with the text of the publication must be accompanied by a file with the data of the authors, which has the name: “Readings in memory of Przhevalsky_surname and initials of the first author, data about the authors” for example: “Readings in memory of Przhevalsky_Ivanov_A_A_Data about the authors”.
It should contain information about each author: full name. (in full), academic degree and title (if any), position, place of work and e-mail address.
Materials are sent by e-mail info@birder.ru and are accepted for consideration only after the registration of the participant.
The organizing committee of the conference reserves the right to edit articles and reject articles that do not comply with the rules set forth with the return of the registration fee.
Please note that hotel reservations are made by the participants themselves. The Organizing Committee publishes a list of recommended hotels in the Second Information Letter.
