Nest of the fastest bird in the world, Russia, Ufa

In April 2019, URALSIB Bank installed a camera to conduct an online broadcast of the life of a pair of peregrine falcons nesting on the roof of the Bank's main office in Ufa. The camera installation project was carried out by Uralsib Bank together with the regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society. Experienced ornithologists of Ufa, coordinators and volunteers of the project to create the Atlas of Birds of Ufa constantly watched everything that happened. The broadcast was online from May 14 to July 1, 2019.

Based on the results of observation during the nesting period in 2019, Galiya Gaysina edited the film “The Nest of the Fastest Bird in the World, Russia, Ufa”. The film used: video from a camera installed on the roof of Uralsib Bank, video from a quadrocopter (Bulat Iskhakov), video from a fledgling (Radik Biishev), video from a ringing (Galia Gaysina). The text was read by Artur Gabbasov. Translation into English was made by Alina Sherstobitova.

On March 12, 2020, both peregrine falcons have already been observed at Uralsib Bank. It is planned to carry out the broadcast in the nesting period of 2020. Follow our news!
