New contests of Russian Science Foundation

The Russian Science Foundation announces the start of accepting applications for six competitions. Among them are a competition to support laboratories that carry out genetic research; interdisciplinary research competition; competition to support the research of world-class scientific laboratories; competition of individual scientific groups; as well as two competitions for the renewal of previously issued grants (world-class scientific laboratories and individual scientific groups).

Competition to support laboratories conducting genetic research The competition will support projects planned for implementation in 2023-2026 with a subsequent possible extension of the implementation period by three years. The amount of one grant will be from 20 to 32 million rubles annually. For the implementation of the project, organizations interested in the results of the project may be provided with co-financing in cash.

The application for the competition is submitted no later than 17:00 (Moscow time) on October 3, 2022 in the form of an electronic document. Results will be announced by March 1, 2023.

Interdisciplinary Research Competition

The competition will support projects planned for implementation in 2023-2026 with a subsequent possible extension of the implementation period by three years. The amount of one grant will be from 8 to 15 million rubles annually. The application for the competition is submitted no later than 17:00 (Moscow time) on November 15, 2022 in the form of an electronic document. The results will be announced by April 1, 2023 inclusive.

World-class laboratory competition

The competition will support projects planned for implementation in 2023-2026 with a subsequent possible extension of the implementation period by three years. Scientific research should be aimed at solving specific problems within the framework of one of the priorities of scientific and technological development of the Russian Federation defined in the Strategy for Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation. The amount of the grant ranges from 20 million rubles to: in 2023 - 30 million rubles, in 2024 - 28 million rubles, in 2025 - 26 million rubles, in 2026 - 24 million rubles. The application for the competition is submitted no later than 17:00 (Moscow time) on October 3, 2022 in the form of an electronic document. Results will be announced by March 1, 2023.

Competition of individual scientific groups

The competition will support projects planned for implementation in 2023-2025 with a subsequent possible extension of the implementation period by one or two years. The amount of one grant is from 4 to 7 million rubles annually. The application for the competition is submitted no later than 17:00 (Moscow time) on November 15, 2022 in the form of an electronic document. Results will be announced by April 1, 2023.

Contests for the renewal of grants

World-class laboratories Projects of scientific groups that are a continuation of projects supported in 2019 by RSF grants can take part in the competition. The amount of the grant will be from 20 million rubles to 24 million rubles a year. The application for the competition is submitted no later than 17:00 (Moscow time) on December 22, 2022 in the form of an electronic document. Results will be announced by March 1, 2023.

Separate scientific groups

Projects of scientific groups that are a continuation of projects supported in 2020 by RSF grants can take part in the competition. The amount of the grant will be from 4 to 7 million rubles annually. The application for the competition is submitted no later than 17:00 (Moscow time) on December 21, 2022 in the form of an electronic document. Results will be announced by April 1, 2023.

“Please pay attention to those who plan to apply for an extension. The rules were established three years ago when the competition was announced and include obligations for publications in publications included in WoS and Scopus. These commitments were accepted by the applicants. Therefore, their fulfillment will be checked as a condition of participation in the competition.
